  • Rezence

Looking for the best bass wireless headphones? You’ve come to the right place! We’ve gathered some of the best models on the market so that you can find the perfect pair for your needs. Whether you’re looking for something affordable or high-end, we’ve got you covered.

Here Are Some Things You Need To Know About The Best Bass Headphones

It’s important to understand the meaning of these words if you want to find a pair of bass headphones worth your money.

Here Are Some Things You Need To Know About The Best Bass Headphones

What Is A Bass-Heavy Frequency Reaction?

Frequency response is a term that you will often see when researching headphones. It is a visual representation of how the headphones sound. This is a simple way to test the headphones. You only need a known sound output.

We usually use a regular sweep or an output that fluctuates between two frequencies in our testing. After you have played the sound through headphones, you can take a recording and compare it to what you had.

Low frequencies (512Hz or below) are reproduced in bass-heavy headphones much louder than the mids. This is because headphone manufacturers have designed the driver tuning to be this loud. Many people enjoy much bass in their music.

That’s why you came here, after all! This has the drawback that high output differences between mids and bass can cause the masking of quieter midrange notes, making it difficult to hear other details in your music.

Are You Still Not Hearing Enough Bass? You Could Have Poor Isolation

You might have an existing pair of headphones that isn’t getting enough bass. The earpads could be to blame.

Earpads that are too loosely fitted can cause outside noise to get in and distract your brain from hearing the lower notes. Auditory masking is another example. It’s how we evolved.

When you hear the same frequency of sounds, your brain will prioritize the louder one as a threat. It’s essential to ensure that your ears are well sealed when listening to music. It’s also necessary to have a seal around your ears when wearing in-ears.

Can Headphones Cause Hearing Loss?

Although a pair of headphones with many basses won’t cause any hearing loss, you should not increase the volume on any headset.

It is essential to be aware of the volume you are listening to music. Exercising your ears for long periods at a high volume can cause damage to the tiny hairs that transmit vibrations. You will hear less over time if your ears can’t detect vibrations.

This is known as “Noise-induced Hearing Loss,” and although it is true that hearing loss can occur naturally with age and that people have less sensitivity in old age to high pitched sounds, why speed up the process?

You can find the following information to help you understand the various types of hearing loss. However, there is one thing that you can do immediately to improve your listening habits: Keep your music below 85dB (SPL).

Modern smartphones have volume limiters that you can set and forget for safe listening. If you love your ears and want to use them well into old age, this is the recommended maximum exposure by NIOSH.

Sony WH1000XM3

Wireless bass headphones at the top of their class

Sony WH1000XM3 Wireless Headphones combine sound quality with function. These headphones have a powerful bass sound perfect for bassy genres such as rap, EDM, and R&B. They also have all the features you would expect from a pair of headphones.

They are wireless and have great active noise cancellation (ANC). There are also some unique features that you won’t find in other headphones.

The WH1000XM3 is a great example of Sony’s other headphones. It makes the bass frequencies the main focus, much like most Sony’s earbuds and earphones. These headphones have a bass level that isn’t as high as the Skullcandy Crushers, but it is still noticeably lower than most others on this list.

Although the sound is not as balanced as the ATH-M50x headphones, if you prefer bass over the highs and mids, you might not need the “balanced” option. The Sony app allows you to set the sound balance to suit your preferences.

These headphones also have the most impressive features, including active noise cancellation, one of the best headphones on the market, and 30-hour battery life. The right earcup has unique gesture controls that allow you to adjust the music and make calls by simply swiping.

The WH1000XM3 is a great choice for anyone looking for everyday headphones with bass, particularly wireless. These headphones are an excellent choice for bass lovers, as they are top-of-the-line in nearly every aspect.

Beats Studio 3

Headphones with Super Deep Bass

You’ll get different answers depending on the person you talk to. Some audiophiles hate Beats by Dre, while others love them. This is the problem: once a site has mainstream appeal, many will trash it. Let’s face the truth, if something is popular, it must be doing something right.

The Beats Studio 3 headphones are for bass lovers. Even though the vocals and mids sound a little lower than usual, the bass is louder than normal. This is combined with Pure ANC, which uses two microphones to adjust the music based on the wearer. It makes listening to a pleasure.

Seriously, you should blast Slim’s new album Music To Be Murdered By, specifically Godzilla featuring Juice WLRD, and you will be in a bass explosion.

Beats are expensive because they’re high quality enough to be worth the extra cost. They are smart and well-known for being extremely bassey.

Beats Studio 3 is the best option if you are looking for bass.

Audeze LCD-1 Audiophile Headphones

Audeze is a master at making headphones with great tech, and the Audeze LCD-1 proves it.

These things come to life when the planer magnet drivers are used. Each layer of sound is spacious and can be felt with surgical precision.

This is partly due to the open-back design. Usually, I wouldn’t say I like open-back designs. I prefer music to drown out everything else. The LCD-1 is a surprise. The LCD-1 gives music freedom and clarity that closed-back headphones cannot match.

The bass is particularly impressive. The open design means that this won’t rattle your ears like Beats, but it still packs a punch. Everything works seamlessly together.

Open-backs won’t be as great outdoors, but they are perfect for listening at home in a quiet space.

It is worth noting that each cup has its very own cable, which runs into one cable due to the power-packed into them. Some people complain about this but, honestly, it’s not a problem. It’s not a problem, and it’s perfectly acceptable.

The LCD-1’s lightness and comfort are one final thing I want to mention. You don’t even feel like you’re wearing the headphones. The headband is also very comfortable. Audeze is a great choice in this area. Please, more headphones like these.

Pros

  • Clear, punchy sound
  • Bass without major damage to the ears
  • Stylish design

Cons

  • Prices high
  • Outdoor use is not a good idea for open-back designs.
  • The bass doesn’t pop the eardrums

Sennheiser HD 650

Sennheiser makes some of the most high-quality headphones on the market. The Sennheiser HD 650 is no different.

The HD 650 has a frequency response that is 39,500 Hertz. This allows for neutral sound and high-quality lows. Although they aren’t the bass-heavy ones on this list, they’re still beautiful enough to be worth consideration.

These bad boys are stylish. These headphones have a premium feel due to their lightweight aluminum construction.

These headphones have an open-back design, so be aware of the possibility of leakage. This is not an issue for open-back fans, but it’s something to be mindful of.

Soul Emotion Max Wireless Over-Ear Headphones

Soul understands bass. You can make a set that can rattling your ears. It’s not easy to make something that hits hard but keeps the warmth. This is where Soul Emotion Max shines the brightest.

The bass test is simple: Hysteria by Muse and Angel by Massive Attack. These three songs have very different bass lines and are compared against each other.

The Emotion Max’s ability to handle different layers of competition for supremacy was what surprised me. The Emotion Max is at the forefront, and the bass is comforting without being oppressive.

Yet, the bass is the show-stealer. Other elements are still essential. Vocals punctuate, guitars pierce. The shuffle does not lose anything.

Battery life was approximately 35 hours when active noise cancellation was turned off and 23 with it on. This is a reference to the industry standard of around the 30-hour mark for ANC-off and 24 for ANC-on.

Is the ANC worth it? Yes. You won’t get the industry-leading technology that can muffle every unwanted sound at this price point. The ANC is still above average compared to other headphones in the same price range. Smaller sounds will almost disappear, but the loudest sounds will be muffled and not completely depressed.

It is worth noting that even with ANC off at home, the fit and sound quality of the earcups (40mm drivers paired to AptX codec and AAC codec) do a great job of blocking out any sound. This is something I didn’t expect at this price range.

Emotion Max has a few other valuable features, including an ambient mode (also known as transparency mode). After pressing the power button for two seconds, the headphones will switch to ambient mode.

This uses the microphone to amplify important sounds nearby, such as cars passing you or people trying to get your attention. It works. The music will blast at maximum volume when you walk down an empty street. The volume will change slightly if the wearer hits a crosswalk.

The Emotion Max exceeded all my expectations. I expected something great for this price, but that was about it. Instead, Soul is a product that I think can transform the bass game.

Seriously, we have reviewed headphones twice the price, and they aren’t half-as good. You won’t be disappointed if you want warmth, clarity, premium, and a low price.

Skullcandy Crusher Evo

Skullcandy Crusher Evo Sensory bass headphones have a powerful bass response and a handy slider that adjusts the volume. You can also personalize your sound with an EQ personalization option. These headphones are the best choice for true bassheads because of these features.

Skullcandy’s Crusher Sensory Bass can boost your bass fast and easily. You can instantly turn down your bass or amp it up by using the dedicated bass switch located on the earcup. This handy feature eliminates the need for you to fiddle with EQ settings if that’s not your thing.

Skullcandy’s Personal Sound technology allows for a more personal listening experience. Audio can take a quick hearing test and analyze your hearing to determine the best sound output. This ensures that you hear your music exactly how you want it.

These closed-back headphones feature 40mm dynamic drivers that deliver decent bass. They only have a frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz, making them second on our list. You might notice some distortion at lower frequencies if the Crusher Sensory Bass is turned up and the audio volume is high.

The Crusher Evos are comfortable because they have a lightweight and premium build. Ear cups are equipped with faux leather and memory foam, providing sound isolation. You also have the option to fold and swivel them, which gives you great adjustability.

The headband is made from a mixture of soft, non-slip silicone material and felt-like fabric material. They are comfortable enough to listen for hours, but they also stay in place.

These headphones have a higher weighted THD (0.33% at 90dB) than other pairs in this list. Despite being relatively high in THD, the distortions are barely audible, even with trained ears.

Monoprice Retro Modern

Monoprice Modern Retro headphones have been highly praised for their superior bass response compared to other similar-priced headphones. They are also the most affordable pair of bass headphones, at less than $30.

These headphones are simple and straightforward. These headphones have a closed-back design, which is ideal for amplifying lower frequencies. These drivers are also equipped with 50mm dynamic drivers, which deliver a powerful and clear sound suitable for professional use.

They don’t have any additional bass-boosting features due to their low price. You can still expect top-quality audio with a frequency response of 15Hz to 25kHz. You can adjust these headphones to achieve that deep bass, and you can expect excellent audio every time.

Monoprice Modern Retro headphones offer great comfort due to their lightweight construction. Although the thin, metal headband does not have padding, you can adjust the soft, cushy ears pads to fit most sizes.

These headphones have a disappointing THD level of 0.6, the highest THD level among all the headphones on this list. Although it is still lower than the 1.0 level of distortion, this pair can still be heard at maximum volume, especially for trained ears.

Fostex USA T900

The Fostex USA TH900 headphones are perfect for those who want absolute bass canons that produce very low bass.

These headphones’ main highlight is their bass. Fostex headphones can easily play very low frequencies, whereas other headphones are barely audible below 30 Hz. These headphones have a well-defined low-bass and can seamlessly transition between low frequencies without overdoing the midrange.

It is rare to find headphones capable of playing the whole bass spectrum with speed and authority. The TH900 does this flawlessly. It is difficult to get the bass to midrange transition right. The upper bass is not too loud and doesn’t overpower the lower frequencies of the mid-bass.

Fostex TH900 houses are made of Japanese Cherry Birch and coated with Urushi lacquer. This adds to the bass performance. These cans feel premium and are well-crafted.

If you are looking for true authority in the low-bass and high-frequency regions, the Fostex TH900 headphone is the one to buy. There is no other headphone that comes close.

Pros

  • Remarkable sub-bass
  • Large soundstage
  • Detail
  • Comfortable
  • Quality of appearance and build

Cons

  • Cable that is not detachable

Ultrasone Pro 900i

The Ultrasone Pro 900i bass headphone is the perfect choice for those who want the most powerful, deep bass.

These cans are stunning in every way. The Pro 900i is beautifully polished and has a lovely shimmer when lit up. These headphones are very bass-driven and will make bassheads smile.

These headphones can be used for bass and any other music genre compatible with the lows of the 900i. These headphones are extremely clear and reproduce music notes and details. The mids are also excellent.

You can feel the music through these headphones. The highs sound crisp and well-defined without being harsh. The mid-bass and lower mids are amazing.

The Pro 900i’s 40mm titanium-coated dynamic driver features a remarkable 6 Hz to 42 kHz frequency band. These headphones are unique and have a distinct sound. They will never sound dull.

Pair these with a good headphone amplifier – the headphones must be amplified to shine. Otherwise, your music will sound dull.

The Ultrasone Pro 900i is an excellent choice for headphones with incredible bass and doesn’t impede the highs and mids.

Meze 99 Classics

The Meze 99 Classics headphones are a truly unique pair of headphones. They deliver deep, natural-sounding bass and clear midrange. These headphones are very natural and balanced with deep bass. They also don’t need amplification.

The headphones are incredibly power-efficient and can be used with any device because of their low impedance. These headphones have a natural sound and excellent dynamics. The Sennheiser HD 650s sound very similar, but the headphones have a slightly higher volume and more energy.

The sound of the Meze 99s is refined and sweet, with a deep bottom end. The bass is powerful when needed, but it’s not overpowering. It’s smooth and easy to hear. These headphones have balanced highs and mids, making them rich and not overwhelming.

The soundstage, imaging, and separation are all impressive for a closed-back headset. You can listen to your favorite soundtracks again and find something new.

Meze 99 Classics feature a walnut wood finish and comfortable earpads. Although the headband is a little thin, there are no complaints. The headphones use a Kevlar OFC cable and a 3m thread cord.

These headphones don’t have the most powerful bass, but they sound deep and refined. This is something you won’t want to miss.

Sennheiser Momentum 2

The Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 headphones are everything you need in a pair of headphones. Thanks to the outstanding noise-canceling technology, the bass is powerful and thumping. The sound is completely quiet, and you can listen to it in peace.

The design of Momentum 2.0 is worthy of praise. However, it’s not for everyone because of the vintage look with the leather headband and large ears. It’s great for hipsters. You don’t want your headphones to look like disposable plastic headphones if you spend much money on them. You want style.

The 2.0 has a lot more features than the original. I especially love the more oversized earcups. The original earcups were too small and uncomfortable. Sennheiser is a great company that listens to customers and fixes them with new versions.

The Sennheiser Momentum 2 will deliver clear sound and powerful bass.

Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2

Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 headphones are a great mid-range option. They have wireless and active noise cancellation (ANC), stylish looks, voice control, and the perfect bass for bass-heavy genres such as rap and EDM.

The overall sound quality is neutral, although it has a bass-leaning character. These headphones are great for reproducing bass-heavy music, but they don’t make another music sound artificial.

The Backbeat Pro 2 bass earphones are a good middle-of-the-road choice. They are not flat, but they don’t have as much bass as Skullcandy Crusher.

Another great feature of the Backbeat Pro 2 headset is its modern feature set. The Backbeat Pro 2 has all the features you would expect from headphones in 2019, plus a few new ones. The headset has a built-in gyro sensor that automatically pauses your music when you take it off your head.

This is similar to the Apple AirPods ear sensors. This is something I have never seen in headphones before.

The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 has an outstanding balance of sound quality, function, and design. These headphones sound great with a bass that is not too loud and all the features you would expect from a pair of headphones.

These headphones come with only a soft sleeve, so I recommend getting a hard-shell case.

Sony MDRZ1R

The Sony MDRZ1R headphones are the closest Sony came to the R10/CD3000 headphones for audiophile listening. These headphones are among the best we’ve tested, and they deliver amazing audio quality. They are superior to the old R10/CD3000 headphones and have the deepest, most detailed bass sound you will ever hear.

Let me start by saying that Sony MDRZ1R headphones are not your average headphone. These Sony headphones are high-quality, audiophile-grade headphones.

They are equipped with 70mm HD speakers and can deliver excellent soundstage, image, and positioning. These headphones are extremely quiet and have a very open and spacious soundstage.

This headphone is made with the best materials and has exceptional build quality. The headphones are exceptionally well made with high-quality materials.

These headphones have a tight bass response that is punchy and has excellent extension. They don’t sound bloated, and the bass complements the higher mids, treble, and highs. They are easy to drive and don’t require any serious ampling to enhance the sound quality.

The MDRZ1R headphone is not going to blast all your bass. The MDRZ1R is an audiophile headphone that produces high-quality sound and deep bass you can feel, but that doesn’t make it sound overwhelming.

Despite this, most people will not afford the Sony MDRZ1R. If you have the means to afford it, it is worth a shot.

How To Choose Your Bass Headphones

How To Choose Your Bass Headphones

The three main characteristics of a pair of bass headphones are sound quality, features, price, and affordability. Let’s take a closer look at each one to help you decide which pair of headphones is best for you.

Bass Headphones Sound Profile

It’s safe for you to assume you want to listen to the bass frequencies in your music if you’re reading this article. Although all the headphones mentioned above have good bass, some are more bassy than others.

Before deciding on a pair of bass headphones, ask yourself whether you want to hear as much as possible or just enough to listen to your favorite music.

The Skullcandy Crusher has the best bass. The Crusher features a volume knob that controls the bass frequencies. You can also set it to insanely high levels.

The downsides of the Crusher are discussed in the review. I recommend the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 and two Sony models as bass-heavy alternatives. These headphones don’t sound as bassy as the Crusher but still have deep bass and are free from some more annoying design elements.

If you’re looking for a balanced sound profile with bass that is both presents and not too loud, the ATH-M50x, or the Soundcore Life 2, are my top recommendations. Although the ATH-M50x sounds superior, it does not have the same features as Life 2.

Features

While sound is the primary consideration when purchasing a pair of bass headphones, features are equally important.

Because they make it easier to use your bass headphones and increase enjoyment, features are essential. Wireless headphones may be more popular than wired ones. This is because it’s easier to use and less hassle with wires.

This is not always true. You might not care about the extras if you value yourself and your soundness above all else.

Active noise cancellation (ANC) is one feature that I want to highlight. While ANC may not be a significant issue if your music is primarily played in quiet environments, it can make a huge difference if you listen in noisy places such as subways and planes. Even if the feature isn’t directly related to audio quality, it can make a big difference in your music experience.

Price

Last but not least price! This list is designed to fit every budget. You get what you pay when it comes to audio equipment. But you can rest assured knowing that the products on this list have been chosen because they are the best available.

If your headphones do not come with a case, we recommend purchasing a case. This is especially important for expensive products. This case is for the ATH-50xBT.

FAQs

FAQs About Best Wireless Headphones For Bass

Which Headphones Have The Best Bass?

Although there are many types of headphones available, it is best to choose closed-back, over-ear headphones if you want to hear more bass. These headphones have a more powerful proximity effect due to their more significant drivers and enclosed design.

They can block any ambient noise and reduce sound leakage when paired with leather-covered headphones.

All of these functions together boost the lower frequencies in that tiny enclosure between your ear and your headphone driver, making your bass sound richer and more powerful.

How Can I Increase The Bass?

You will need to change the sound settings depending on which operating system you use to listen to your music.

You can choose a Bass Booster on an iPhone by going to Settings > Music > Playback > EQ.

While some operating systems permit personalized equalizer settings to be made, preset bass boosters are available on most. You will have varying degrees of control over how you change your equalizing settings depending on the streaming service. Spotify Premium, for example, allows you to customize your EQ settings.

Do I Choose Closed-Back Or Open-Back Headphones?

The physical construction of headphones can be classified as open-back or closed-back. Although open backs are not as effective at blocking out noise from the room as closed backs, they produce a cleaner sound due to the fewer echoes that the sound bounces off the walls of the headphones.

Conclusion

Now that you know what the best bass headphones are, it’s time to hush-hush and gets your pair! While there are many great options available, we want to help you make the right decision for your needs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team for help. We are more than happy to assist you!
